New Covenant United Methodist Church of The Villages recently applied for and received a $2,000 Alice W. Lockmiller Children’s Outreach grant through the Florida United Methodist Foundation to provide additional food items to families in need in Lake Panasoffkee as part of the church’s social justice outreach. This was done in partnership with the Changing Hearts Initiative and Lake Panasoffkee United Methodist Church. Two hundred five families were served as part of the weekly food giveaway.
